Integral Tradition publishes a journal, The Initiate, edited by David J. Wingfield. It focuses on topics pertaining to traditionalist spirituality and ‘old-style’ paleo- and European conservatism, with a particular emphasis on literature, religious studies, culture, archaeology, anthropology, linguistics and history. The Initiate has changed focus somewhat since its premier issue. The second issue will feature much more content overall, including a letters to the editor section as well as more music and book reviews, while still retaining essays on the same subject matter that made the first issue engaging. The Initiate aims to break from the trend of similar journals to become overly concerned with contemporary political issues or with obscure topics of purely academic interest. Instead, it seeks to present individuals in search of genuine alternatives to the modern paradigm with practical knowledge, insight and guidelines.
