Submissions Guidelines

We regularly receive submission manuscripts on a variety of topics. If you are an author looking for a publisher, and you would like us to consider your manuscript, please read this section carefully before submission.

Scope

We generally publish works related our topics of concern. These include spirituality, politics, anti-modernism, the environment, consumerism, social degeneration, and so forth. We also require that they in some way reflect our philosophical values. For more details on these please refer to the About ITP section and in our Common Norms. When submitting your manuscript we suggest you briefly explain what it is about and why you think it would be relevant for us to publish it.

A book need not reflect our values in every respect. For example, we would have no objection to publishing a work critical of the international banking system written by a left-wing socialist, even though his general vision of an ideal society may differ from ITP’s. On the other hand, we would be very unlikely to publish a book which does not have a deeper message or which was only written with the aim of making money, such as books about improving one’s sex-life or becoming a millionaire in thirty days.

We publish all kinds of literature, both non-fiction and fiction. We also accept proposals, albeit on the condition that the end result is satisfactory. If you are considering writing a book on a given topic please do contact us to discuss your ideas. Finally, we also accept manuscripts in a number of other languages than English for review. If you have written a book in a different language, therefore, and would like to have it published in English, please contact us to discuss.

Procedure & Submission

All manuscripts are reviewed by a senior contributor, who writes a report on the content and merits of the work, and gives a recommendation. This recommendation is generally followed. If the reviewer recommends to reject a manuscript we usually (but not always) provide the author with reasons. If the manuscript is accepted we may attach conditions to our offer.

Submission should be sent by email to us in word or pdf format. If we accept your manuscript we may ask it to be reformatted. If your manuscript is only available in hardcopy and you wish to send it to us by mail, please contact us and we will provide you with an address.
